I don't know about you but having a sandwich for lunch gets a tad boring after a while and sometimes it's good to switch it up a notch.
So a quick dish to try is garlic mushrooms and onions on toast!
To make this i used
A handful of mushrooms
1/2 White Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
Some Parsley
I also had a couple of additions
salt and pepper
A dash of balsamic vinegar
A dash of olive oil
This is so simple and so tasty!
Chop up the onions and mushrooms and finely chop the garlic and the parsley.
Heat a frying pan with some oil and add the onions, the idea is to get some colour into the onions before adding the garlic and the mushrooms. Don't add the garlic too early as it will burn and taste very bitter.
Once the onions take on some colour add the garlic and the mushrooms and keep cooking.
I added some balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper along the way to add some extra flavour before adding a glug of oliver oil at the end.
Toast some bread and then load it up with the tasty treat!
Dead simple, dead quick and a great change to the sandwich at lunchtime!
